Thoughtless..!

Since when did thinking become a task...
Floating in the uniquely calming
And tranquil oblivion
Of convenient denial...
Taking procrastination to another level
Hunting for something even remotely exciting
To tick off my “to do” list..
While it lies ignored and crumpled
On an over congested workstation...
The collection of business cards...
Used innovatively
To dig out dust from the crevices
Of an overused laptop...
Same desk...same chair...
Enthusiasm makes all the difference...
Did I sell my soul too cheap...
Or is this what Burning out means...
If it’s the latter case
Then it’s come too early in life....
I thought I had a lifetime of struggle and strife
To look forward to...
Is someone listening to me??
Put my SOUL back into me..!!
